About Us

Earth Action Games was founded to transform environmental change into a fun, accessible, and engaging experience for everyone. Our flagship game, Ready, Set, Go Green, is crafted for families, friends, individuals, and classrooms eager to learn about environmental challenges while taking actionable steps toward a greener future. Through weekly challenges that promote sustainable habits, the game demonstrates that small, consistent actions can lead to significant, lasting change.

Earth Action Games has sold and demonstrated Ready, Set, Go Green at Parkleigh, a popular specialty gift shop in Rochester, and is collaborating with Impact Earth, an organization dedicated to sustainable living, to expand the game's reach into schools throughout Rochester. Our work has already made an impact at the elementary school level, including achievements like packing over 100 waste-free lunches in just a few weeks.

Environmental change isn't just about raising awareness; it’s about mobilizing people to take direct action. Earth Action Games does just that.

About the Founder

David DeRoo-Kury, the founder and CEO of Earth Action Games, is a high school senior with a lifelong passion for environmentalism and gaming. His journey began with the Treehuggers Club at his elementary school, where he helped achieve a 79.96% landfill diversion rate through consistent waste sorting efforts. This experience sparked the idea of blending his love for games with environmental advocacy, leading him to create Earth Action Games through the Young Entrepreneurs Academy.

David believes that environmental education should be both accessible and fun, a principle that guides Earth Action Games. His goal is to show that making a positive impact on the planet doesn’t have to be daunting—it can start with a single challenge and grow into a larger movement. Through sharing the game, David strives to inspire a community of players ready to make a difference, one card at a time.
